Mind - What You Want Out Of Life
Thought Experiment: if you became someone else traveling outside your mind with a new life. No past, no constraints, no obligations or expectations and thought…
What do I want out of life?
What image forms?
How does it compare to the current trajectory you’re on now?
If you held yourself back from letting go, or you don’t think you can achieve what you want out of life not only have you held yourself back. You are wrong.
The self improvement journey is learning where you are, where you actually want to go, and how to get there.
Plug for Wispr Flow: I’m constantly taking note of thoughts, impressions I have throughout the day. Wispr Flow makes it so I can speak into any of my devices, without opening any app to record my stream of conscious so I never miss a thought.
Better prompts. Better AI output.
AI gets smarter when your input is complete. Wispr Flow helps you think out loud and capture full context by voice, then turns that speech into a clean, structured prompt you can paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any assistant. No more chopping up thoughts into typed paragraphs. Preserve constraints, examples, edge cases, and tone by speaking them once. The result is faster iteration, more precise outputs, and less time re-prompting. Try Wispr Flow for AI or see a 30-second demo.
Body - Ice Baths: What They Do and When to Use Them
Why they’re good
Reduce pain & soreness → cold slows nerve signals.
Calm the nervous system → strong parasympathetic rebound after.
Useful for acute inflammation → swelling, flare-ups, high impact days.
Mental training → controlled stress exposure.
Why they’re bad
Blunt muscle growth & strength if used after lifting.
Slow tissue adaptation (inflammation is part of healing).
Overuse = dependence on symptom relief instead of recovery capacity.
When to use
After endurance, conditioning, or competition
During injury flare-ups
On rest days for nervous system regulation
❌ Not after hypertrophy or strength sessions
How long / how cold
2–5 minutes is enough
50–59°F (10–15°C)
More is not better—just more stress.
Soul — Why “Miracles” Can Weaken People
I’m wary of miracles because they bypass causality. It separates the outcome from the agent. I see the tendency for people to feel powerless while hoping for a miracle.
If a miracle comes it reinforces a notion that they were powerless to impact the outcome.
If it doesn’t they remain powerless only waiting for something to change.
If the outcome wasn’t produced by you, it can’t be repeated. If it doesn’t arrive, agency collapses.
The use I see after contemplating miracles is this: miracles, like grace, appear after capacity is exhausted(after all you can do), not before it’s exercised. The problem is no one really understand what is all they can do. Usually its much much more.
Power grows when responsibility is carried, not outsourced to hope.
Success — Power Is Capacity, Not Impact
Etymologically, power meant something precise: the capacity to bring about effects. Not the effects themselves.
Implication 1: Outcomes Are a Lagging Indicator, Not Proof of Power If power is capacity, then outcomes do not prove power they only suggest it after the fact.
Someone can have results without capacity (luck, leverage, timing, inheritance). But no one can have sustained results without real power.
Implication 2: Power is neutral, directed toward good or bad
If power is capacity, then it is up to its carrier to direct its reach.
The loyalty to truth and good or lack of is reflected in the effects of power. The crazy thing is everyone has power(capacity to effect). Just look at your life.
