Interrupt it: stop scrolling, stop typing, stop talking.
Change state fast: stand up, breathe slower, drink water, step outside.
Re-enter small: one clean next action (2 minutes or less).

The Buffalo in a Storm
When storms loom across the horizon most animals start to flee hoping to escape its path. The Buffalo, on the other hand, walk in the opposite direction directly into the storm. The Buffalo understands that if it walks with the storm it will remain in it longer. Walking against the storm head on allows it to pass through faster. Most elongate their pain of opposition by avoiding it. Let’s learn from the buffalo to choose to face it head on.
